Fifteen years ago, we had a reunion at the farm, complete with pig roast and the evening was topped off with original skits created by our own Gerri. Many of you were there!

Here are 3 short videos that highlight some of the festivities of that weekend.

1. “NG except small part Max wed” and yes if you hang in there you will see Max and Gerri’s wedding.
2. “not very good, Viola forgot filter. Taken while Eileen was here.” Yup, she was mowing the lawn!

This is 4 shorter films grouped together. On the boxes Grampa identified them in this order:

Teenage Max & Gerri and Gerri’s parents can be seen in this series.

This is 5 shorter films grouped together. On the boxes Grampa identified only the first one “John”; but here are my notes:

Xmas (1965) Billy, Cheryl, Barb, Mike/Genuine BC Palm Tree, 3 Valley Gap, Enchanted Forest, Ramsay children are a bit older/Hope slide, Ramsay home/Xmas Gerri Max and parents, Easter Ross, Lorna, Kirk/Max takes the camera to school/ Xmas (72?) based on Janette’s appearance.

This is 6 shorter films grouped together. On the boxes Grampa identified them in this order:

“Xmas 1966; John, Pauline, Rose’s Phil & children 1966; Allso Flex Steel party; Max & Al Lewis; no note; Poor film parts of Island; Xmas 69 Sylvan Gardens”

The next films are in random order mainly because there was little to identify what was in them on the outside of the boxes. When there were no notes on the film box, I had to use film expiry dates in some cases and postage dates in others to be able to pinpoint approximately what year the film was taken.

“Tao 1^st Birthday, 1^st step, March/1977, Aug/Nov”

 

Starts with Tao enjoying his bath and moves through his first steps, 1^st and 2^nd birthdays and finishes with his baby brother Micah joining the family.

“Shorewood, 8 mm (not super 8) Jan 71”

The apartment and scenic vistas of Vancouver, then up to Nakusp. Phil & Marlene and children are visiting as well. Doug makes his appearance here in “bump” form and then again later on in person. Ending up with a snowy Xmas in the apartment and in the Ramsay home. Final shots in the film are of the Ice Capades (?).

Mom says that cat had a story to tell when he/she left the farm…

“2^nd Oregon Trip & San Francisco”

 

Starts with the Peace Arch and Max & Gerri picking up supplies and then on to Oregon and San Francisco! Sand dunes, fishing, Gerri you look cute doing dishes at the campsite with curlers in your hair – what amazing memories of this trip.
